Post customizing hero weapons

I'm totally unshure of this.
Does customizing give the weapons wielded by heroes 20% extra damage?
Or does it ruin them?

it gives no additional damage or advantage if a hero is using a customized weapon or not.

Heroes share their inventory with their master and can use their master's weapons, including customized weapons. The 20% damage bonus from the customization applies to heroes too.
from gw.gamewikis.org

so yes they get the 20% dmg bonus

really? theres a way you can test this. fight a hero, having someone else control his attacks with wild blow. youll see why i said that using am monk with no spells/equipment other than the blank 60ar lvl armor.

when you customize something it doesnt say 20% extra damage when a certian person is using the item, it just says 20% and restricts it to one person, so if the heroes can equip it then it is only reasonable that they would get the bonus

Absolutely not worth customizing your hero's weapons.
Once you do...that item can never be used by any of your other characters' heros, and can never be sold to other players.

Have your skill selection do the work for you, not the extra 3 pts of damage you'll get for customizing a hero weapon. Stay versatile

The only weapons that warrant customization are melee weapons and bows.
There is no need to customize wands or staves.

I usually have my melee heros using weapons that I use on that character (in the case of my warrior or ranger)

As for my caster heros, I just find a sword or axe or bow that is not really a rare skin and stick some mods and 15>50 inscription on them and that's it.

There is no way I would give a hero a spehis axe and then customize it for them

Give them normal skins.

or better yet, just have a customized and an uncustomized max weapon, equip one on a hero with wild blow, hit armor dummy, equip the other, hit armor dummy. compare yellow numbers.

Just know that THAT Yakslapper can no longer be used by any of your other characters (nor their heroes) is all

That's the versatility I meant. As far as selling, well, that's just supplemental really. You'll still get the 35 gp for the Yakslapper from your friendly merchant in the long run

You won't see the little yellow numbers from your hero attacks, unfortunately. Do a scrimmage as suggested or simply trust those who have tested it already and found that the 20% applies.

You mean extra 5-8 points on most weapons....

I'll take the extra damage any day of the week (and twice on Sundays)!!!!

Every single hero I have on my monk has a perfect rare skin req 9 fully modded and customized....all the other chars heroes carry greens...

I don't care that I can't sell them in the future or that I can't swap them to other heroes coz:

1.Unless they bring out a new higher stat for certain weapons then my weapons will always be perfect

2.I dont wanna have to put all my heroes weapons in storage every time I switch chars just so THEIR heroes can use them... I must switch chars 4-5 times a day...

Same thing here: i customize all hero-weapons unless they are set to "avoid battle" (mainly monks and minion master) as they dont attack using their weapons...

The extra 5-8 damage would be nice. But finding the max weapons for each characters

hero's would take far too long for me. I have a max weapon with mods for each class in

storage so that I can swap between hero's when I switch characters.
